What to do
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast during the valid watch time. These conditions could promote the rapid spread of wildfires which could become life-threatening. Check weather.gov/mtr for forecast updates and a possible upgrade of this watch to a Red Flag Warning. Also consider signing up for your city, county, or state emergency alert system.
Follow all fire restrictions. One less spark, one less wildfire.
Never leave burning debris or camp fires unattended; extinguish them completely. Avoid using equipment or machinery that could create a spark. Secure tow chains to avoid dragging and subsequent sparks. Never toss cigarette butts out of your vehicle's window. Remember, one less spark, one less flame.
