Rip Current Statement I-45
I-45 miles 0 to 24, until Oct 4, 9:00 AM CDT
Rip Current Statement issued October 3 at 9:32AM CDT until October 4 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX
* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Gulf-facing beaches, including the Matagorda Peninsula, Brazoria County beaches, Galveston Island and the Bolivar Peninsula. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
What to do. Swim near a lifeguard and away from rocks, jetties, and piers. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
Matagorda Islands; Brazoria Islands; Galveston Island; Bolivar Peninsula
Gaps in coverage
Stretches of 2 miles or more with no hourly instrument within 15 miles: never called clear, and where a station of Storm Station’s own, or a fleet’s vehicles, would do the most.

Stops and chargers
I-45 2
Export every stop as CSV. The truck parking is the federal list of public truck parking, mostly rest areas; private truck stops are not in it yet. The chargers are the public stations a heavy duty vehicle can reach. A dot is coloured by what the chosen vehicle is told on the road beside it: a charger behind an exit is no refuge.
