- For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected along shorelines and tidal waterways (7.1 to 7.3 feet Mean Lower Low Water at Charleston).

- For the High Rip Current Risk, through this evening. For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 7 AM to 11 AM EDT this morning.
- Impacts
- This could result in some roads becoming impassable. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
- Additional details
- High tide will occur around 9:15 AM this morning at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1 to 2 hours before and after high tide.
What to do
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
