Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 504 AM HST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated moderate rain over the island of Kauai. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly within the advisory area. Heavier rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lihue, Kapaa, Kalaheo, Kekaha, Hanapepe, Lawai, Omao, Waimea, Koloa, Poipu, Kokee State Park and Wailua Homesteads.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn around, don't drown.
