In northeast New Mexico, Far Northeast Highlands, Johnson and Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass and Union County. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A near-record to record surge of moisture combined with a storm system moving across northern New Mexico will continue to bring numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rainfall. Combined with already rain-soaked soil, there is a moderate to high risk of flooding. - Low-lying, poorly drained, and/or urban areas will be most susceptible to flooding. Rivers, arroyos and streams will see rises with fast flows. Minor flooding is possible along rivers.
