Some metro areas and locales include, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Espanola, Taos, Socorro, Ruidoso, Los Alamos, Grants, Gallup, and Farmington. * WHEN...From Monday morning through late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A near-record to record surge of monsoonal moisture combined with two merging storm systems will bring a prolonged multi- day period of showers and thunderstorms producing moderate to heavy rainfall. Combined with already rain soaked ground conditions, there is a high risk of flash flooding. - Low-lying, poorly drained areas, urban areas and arroyo systems will be most susceptible. Near rivers and streams will see rises, potentially reaching flood stage.
